SOUTHEASTERN LIBERIA-The Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Eugene Fahngon, has confirmed that the government has made funds available for the construction of LBS substations across the country.
Speaking via telephone on the Super Morning Show Thursday, October 29, 2026, from Southeastern Liberia, Fahngon said:” The funding was made available through the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Augustine Ngafuan, to support the implementation of the substation project”.
He noted that the funding is intended to ensure that construction materials are delivered to project sites, and work begins immediately following groundbreaking ceremonies.
The LBS Director General said the initiative will support the establishment of substations in various parts of Liberia, while revealing that his team will extend its trip to Harper, Maryland, on Friday for a similar groundbreaking exercise.
The move is expected to strengthen the operational capacity of the Liberia Broadcasting System and improve its ability to reach audiences across the country through its broadcasting services.
