MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Youth and Sports Ministry has reaffirmed the Liberian Government’s commitment to empowering young Liberians across the country.
Speaking at activities marking International Youth Day in Monrovia on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Youth and Sports Minister Cornelia Kruah said:” The government is intensifying efforts in creating opportunities that will enable Liberian youth to become productive contributors to national development”.
Minister Kruah encouraged young people to believe in themselves, take advantage of available opportunities, and prepare themselves for leadership through education, skills development, and entrepreneurship.
According to her, the Youth and Sports Ministry is working to expand youth programs across the fifteen counties, including training in information technology and other areas.
The Minister stressed that young people have an important role to play in Liberia’s development and must be equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to shape the country’s future.
