MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chargé d’Affaires of the American Embassy near Monrovia, Joseph Zadrozny, has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening the Liberian government’s capacity in dismantling organized drug trafficking networks.
Zadrozny committed during a follow-up meeting with Justice Minister Cllr. Oswald Tweh on Thursday, on the ongoing drug investigations in the Country.
According to a Justice Ministry release, the meeting focused on continued cooperation between Liberia and the United States in the fight against drug trafficking.
For his part, Justice Minister Cllr Oswald Tweh welcomed the continued partnership, noting that the U.S. technical personnel are currently working alongside their Liberian Counterparts to support the investigations.
The Head of the Joint Security Investigative Taskforce also reaffirmed that the investigations will remain thorough, impartial, and evidence-based.
