MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Information, Jerolinmek Piah, has expressed frustration over the misuse and maintenance of roads by citizens across the country.
Minister Piah emphasized the Japanese Freeway, terming the road one of the most misused gifts by citizens.
He said: “The constant act of throwing waste in drainages along the road is not only polluting the city, but also discouraging development partners from investing in Liberia”.
Minister Piah stressed the need for citizens to be responsible and patriotic in caring for national assets.
Meanwhile, the information minister is urging both the city authorities and the Liberia National Police to take legal steps against anyone found throwing waste in the streets.
