Labor Court Issues Writ of Summon for Deputy Finance Minister Zuo

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Labor Court at the Temple of Justice has issued a Writ of Summons for the Deputy Finance Minister for Economic Management for contempt of Court.

The Writ further states that Dehpue Zuo is being held in contempt for his blatant disregard and failure to address and comply with the payment of the judgment sum in favor of aggrieved workers.

The aggrieved workers are mapping assistants and supervisors, former employees of the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS).

Deputy Minister Zuo was also instructed by the Court to pay within the specified period of May 13-26, 2026, which was earlier ordered by the Supreme Court’s enforcement.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Zuo is expected to appear before the National Labor Court on Thursday, May 28, to show cause why he should not be held in contempt.
