MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) began screening thousands of Liberians on Monday, April 27, who had applied to join the National Army.
The rigorous screening process started at the Barclay Training Center (BTC) in Monrovia, with applicants submitting their documents and other requirements.
The 2026 AFL recruitment exercise aligns with the AFL’s constitutional mandate to recruit and train qualified and interested Liberians for active military service.
The exercise is also aimed at recruiting competent men and women to increase the strength of the Liberian Army.
The High Command of the AFL says the recruitment process is voluntary, assuring the public that the process will be strictly based on merit.
The recruitment exercise is taking place across the counties.
