Phebe Hospital Workers Stage Go-Slow

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Workers at the Phebe Hospital in Bong County have staged a go-slow action against the current administration of the hospital.

Our correspondent said the workers’ action followed the reinstatement of their colleagues without rewarding them with their just benefits.

It can be recalled that in February, the Civil Service Agency suspended seven workers of the hospital for staging a go-slow action, thus impeding operations at the facility.

The workers are also calling on President Joseph Boakai to take action by replacing some administrators of the hospital, citing the incompetence of those in charge.

The aggrieved workers have threatened to continue their go-slow action until their demands are met.

Meanwhile, officials of the hospital are yet to respond to the aggrieved workers’ concerns.
