Monovia, Monday, March 16, 2026 – Liberian Clergyman, Reverend John D. Monger of the Ministry of Truth Judah Assembly has extoled the government of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for the steady transformation of the Country’s economy.
Rev. John Monger said despite global and domestic challenges, the government has made reasonable progress in public sector and economic reform, significantly improving service delivery across Liberia.
Rev Monger added there has been marked improvement in the livelihood of the people, with government applying efforts to restore dignity to the civil service and strengthen the purchasing power of Liberians.
“The things that are happening around are evidence. I think if we can give a score, we could say 90, but I think they are in the ‘A’ category because a lot of good things happening. Let me start firstly with the infrastructure. When you drive throughout the length and breadth of Liberia, almost everywhere there is construction ongoing. So I think things are getting better” the Clergyman added.
Speaking in an ELBC interview over the weekend in Brewervile, the Liberian Prelate highlighted as a step in the right direction, the recent placement of hundreds of volunteer teachers and health workers on government’s payroll, transitioning them under the Civil Service as full time government employees.
“You look at the health sector. Things are improving. I listened to the radio the other day and heard that the issue of volunteer teachers and health workers has been resolved. People have seen their status changed, becoming regular employees of the government. I think it adds some confidence, making people to have an assurance that good things are going to happen. Because when people are sure of disposable income, spending power increases, people will be able to make decisions on what they want, how they want to do what they do. A lot of good things happen. I think we need to say thanks to God for the government. Things are improving” Rev Monger told the state broadcaster.
He also commended the government for massive improvement in infrastructure and public services; something he believes, is boosting confidence of the citizenry in the government.
Meanwhile Rev. Monger has rallied the Church to build a stronger collaboration with the government, while also providing direction on the right and wrong actions of government.
The prelate, who Heads the Ministry of Truth Assembly near Stocktom Creek, wants church leaders intercede, pray and encourage responsible governance in the country.
He believes stronger Government and Church collaboration enhances national unity and fast track development and national growth.
Rev. Monger then urged Church leaders not to be afraid of criticism but always stay committed to speaking the truth.
