MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia is expected to break ground for the construction of the St. Paul Bridge-Bo Waterside Road corridor soon.
The project is part of the Klay to Tubmanburg in Bomi County and Mendikorma to Voinjama in Lofa County Road corridors to be financed through a public-private partnership with Pavi Fort and Associates.
President Joseph Boakai disclosed on Thursday, February 26, 2026, during a courtesy visit by members of the House of Representatives at the Executive Mansion.
The Liberian Leader said,” The different road corridors will ease transportation constraints and bring citizens closer to their government, when completed”.
He highlighted the significance of constructing high-quality road infrastructure across the country to improve livelihoods and attract investment opportunities.
Our reporter said,” The lawmakers’ visit was intended to formally appreciate the President for the strides made in bringing to the country the first batch of two hundred eighty-five yellow machines.
Meanwhile, members of the House of Representatives have praised President Boakai for the political will to transform the nation’s road infrastructure.
The lawmakers, led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Richard Koon, commended the President for the arrival of the first batch of yellow machines.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Speaker Koon commended the President for the first batch of machines.
He noted that the machines will rehabilitate farm-to-market roads, which could boost economic activity in rural areas and create the much-needed job opportunities for local communities.
Speaker Koon said,” The move demonstrates that the government is listening to the needs of the people, and good roads also mean better access to schools and hospitals”.
