MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Eugene Fahngon, has ordered the removal of telecommunications equipment belonging to Orange Liberia from its transmission towers.
Director Fahngon said,” The communication company has failed to honor contracts for over two years, causing financial losses to LBS. LBS repeatedly attempted negotiations, including announcements and meetings, but the company ignored all efforts”.
The LBS boss noted that the removal will affect towers located in Go-ba-chop, Paynesville City, Tubmanburg, Bomi County, and Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
He noted that equipment related to national security, Lone Star Cell MTN, and LBS operations will remain untouched.
Meanwhile, the Liberia Broadcasting System Boss further said,” The action is necessary to protect the institution, because it bears full responsibility for tower maintenance, security, and repairs”.
