Sinoe County Senator Wants Liberia’s Mineral Laws Drastically Overhauled

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Sinoe County Senator Crayton Duncan wants a drastic overhaul in the Country’s mineral laws.

Senator Duncan said,” The current law benefits investors or companies more than the Country”.

He believes that if nothing is done to address the situation, Liberians would continue to live in abject poverty.

On the Super Morning Show on Monday, January 19, 2026, Senator Duncan decried the poor utilization of the Country’s resources.

He wants citizens to take full ownership in the management and operations of the Country’s natural endowment.

Senator Duncan argued that until Liberia starts to take charge of its resources, the Country will keep developing other nations.
