82 Young Professionals Graduate from Visionary School of Leadership and Development…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-In a breakthrough moment for leadership development and national transformation, eighty-two young Liberian professionals have successfully graduated from the Executive Graduate Program of the Visionary School of Leadership and Development, marking the completion of Cohort Thirty-Eight.

The graduation ceremony, held at the Liberian Learning Center, brought together educators, development partners, alumni, families, and national stakeholders to celebrate a new generation of purpose-driven leaders prepared to confront Liberia’s development challenges with competence, character, and vision.

Graduates from diverse academic, professional, and entrepreneurial backgrounds were awarded certificates and diplomas after completing an intensive three-to-six-month leadership and professional development journey.

Delivering the keynote address was Wantoe Teah Wantoe, President of the Postgraduate Association at the University of Oxford. In a powerful and reflective address, he challenged the graduates to see leadership as a responsibility rather than a title, urging them to place service, integrity, and national impact at the center of their professional lives.

He emphasized that Liberia’s future depends largely on the courage, discipline, and ethical clarity of its young professionals.

The Visionary School of Leadership and Development is an international non-governmental leadership institute headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, with a strong footprint across Africa.

The institution is widely recognized for its commitment to empowering visions, inspiring leaders, and nurturing the potential of young African changemakers.

Its Executive Graduate Program stands out for blending leadership theory with practical application, ensuring that participants do not merely study leadership but consistently practice it within their communities and workplaces.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Leadership and Ambassador Awards to fifteen outstanding alumni and professionals.

These honorees were recognized for exceptional contributions to community development, youth advocacy, public service, and leadership excellence. Their recognition reflected the institution’s emphasis on measurable impact and value-driven leadership beyond the classroom.

Speaking at the ceremony, Founder and Chief Executive Officer Otis Togbah Tarwoe praised the resilience, discipline, and growth demonstrated by the graduating class.

“These 82 professionals have not only completed a demanding academic program but have also embraced a deeper call to transformative leadership,” he said. “They represent hope, innovation, and a new leadership culture rooted in service, competence, and integrity. We are confident that they will influence policies, institutions, and communities across Liberia and beyond.”

The ceremony also acknowledged the critical role of international partners, faculty members, lecturers, and administrative staff whose dedication continues to strengthen the quality and reach of the program.

Their collective efforts have positioned the institution as a leading force in professional and leadership education across the continent.

More than a graduation, the event stood as a national statement of possibility.

It affirmed that Liberia is intentionally cultivating a new generation of leaders, pioneers of change, equipped with the mindset, skills, and values needed to shape a better future.

As Cohort Thirty-Eight steps into the next chapter of service and impact, their journey signals renewed confidence in the power of youth leadership to drive sustainable development and national renewal.
