MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) says it is intensifying its reform agenda for the timely collection of the 2026 national budget.
LRA Commissioner General, Dorbor Jallah, named digital transformation, enhanced automation, and data-driven compliance as key steps the entity is taking.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, December 29, 2025, in Paynesville, Commissioner Jallah also disclosed robust nationwide taxpayer education and awareness campaigns, as part of efforts to encourage compliance.
The LRA Boss wants every individual, institution, and business owner to be integrated into the tax system for the advancement of Liberia.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Jallah is commending taxpayers, individuals, and businesses for their continued support of the Country’s revenue envelope.
At the same time, the LRA Commissioner General has outlined major achievements at the entity over the past two years.
According to him, LRA recorded eight hundred eighteen million USD domestic revenue in 2025, and also exceeded its 2024 outturn of six hundred ninety-nine million by more than one hundred nineteen million dollars.
Commissioner Jallah reaffirmed LRA’s steadfast commitment to institutional discipline, professional integrity, and systematic reform.
The LRA boss noted that the move demonstrated by the LRA clearly shows that Liberia’s domestic resource mobilization efforts are being strengthened.
Commissioner Dorbor Jallah is, however, craving increased budgetary support to address institutional and operational constraints facing the Liberia Revenue Authority.
