Labor Minister Kruah Sacks Labor Inspector Johns…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Labour, Cllr Cooper Kruah, has dismissed Labor Inspector, Matthew Johns, for allegedly issuing fake Alien Work Permits to foreign workers for one thousand US dollars.

Currently, all Alien Work Permits are issued for three thousand USD.

Minister Kruah said,” The decision against Inspector Johns serves as a deterrent to anyone bent on engaging in criminal acts or malpractices, that will tarnish the image of the Ministry and the Government of Liberia”.

He warned the staff of the Ministry to be governed by moral ethics and values as the new year approaches.

The Labour Ministry boss recounted the President’s zero tolerance stance on corruption, fraud, and other malpractices in the public sector.

Meanwhile, dismissed Labor Inspector Johns has been turned over to the Liberia National Police for investigation.
