MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Health Ministry has commenced a five-day Primary Health Care (PHC) Performance Management Training for twenty-four Primary Health Care Managers in Bomi and Maryland Counties.
The project forms part of ongoing efforts to build frontline leadership, improve health service delivery, and equip PHC managers with the technical competencies.
According to a Health Ministry release, the training is a pilot project supported by the Joint Learning Fund at Amref Health in Nairobi.
The release emphasized that Liberia is conducting the program alongside the Philippines and South Africa under the Primary Health Care Performance Management Collaborative partnership.
The international partnership is designed to strengthen PHC systems and advance progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
As part of the training, Participants will receive intensive instruction to improve their ability to manage health facilities through the use of reliable data and evidence-based decision-making.
