REALISE Project Says It’s Made Significant Strides…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Recovery of Economic Activity for Liberian Informal Sector Employment Project (REALISE) says it has made significant strides in supporting vulnerable Liberians across fourteen counties, since 2021.

REALISE is a government-led initiative supported by the World Bank, Swedish International Development Association, and the French Agency for Development.

REALISE Project Communications Officer, Henry Sumo, said,” The project has already met its target, which embodies supporting more than 400-thousand Liberians by 2026”.

He told ELBC on Monday, November 24, 2025, that the initiative is being implemented under six components, which include support for Small Businesses, Labour-Intensive Public Work, Community Livelihood and Agriculture Support, and the Social Cash Transfer, among others.

Sumo noted that each component has, at the very least, made an impact on Liberians, especially in Agriculture and Social Cash Transfer.

The REALISE project, which is scheduled to close by December 2026, aligns with the government’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, focusing on poverty reduction and economic empowerment.
