MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Agriculture Ministry says 225 farmers are being processed to participate in this year’s National Agriculture Fair (NAF) in Ganta, Nimba County.
The fair, which begins December 9, is an annual event that promotes Liberia’s agricultural innovation, local production and food security.
Deputy Agriculture Minister for Planning and Development, David Akoi, told ELBC’s “Super Morning Show” on Monday, November 24, 2025, that the event will coincide with the launch of the “One Country, One Crop” initiative.
Minister Akoi said, “The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Director General, Qu Dongyu, will also engage President Joseph Boakai and Former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf in a series of discussions as part of the event”.
Meanwhile, Assistant Agriculture Minister for Extension, Edward Perry, says preparation for this year’s National Agriculture Fair is progressing well.
