MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The recent meeting between Presidents Joseph Boakai and Emmanuel Macron in Paris has begun bearing fruit, with a new development agreement set to be signed.
The Minister of Finance, Augustine Ngafuan, disclosed that the French Development Agency (FDA), a public financial institution central to France’s international diplomacy, is finalizing a pact to support community development throughout Liberia.
Minister Ngafuan told ELBC recently that the agreement solidifies France’s commitment to Liberia’s development trajectory and marks a significant deepening of bilateral ties.
The Agency, which operates worldwide to implement France’s foreign policy goals, will channel its resources into Liberian communities directly, linking the presidential-level discussions to on-the-ground progress.
He cited the partnership as a prime example of the dividends from President Boakai’s international engagements.
Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan listed several other gains, including the EU Energy Sector Support and the extended U.S. Visa policy, confirming that the administration’s outreach is strengthening Liberia’s global partnerships.
