Edu. Ministry Unveils Liberia’s Digital Platform for School Operational Permits

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education has officially launched Liberia’s Digital Platform for School Operational Permits.

The ceremony took place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.

The primary aim of the program is to replace the outdated manual permit process with a digital system, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and accountability across the education sector.

Speaking during the program, Education Minister Jarso Jallah emphasized that the platform is a “digital handshake” between the Ministry and private school communities.

Minister Jallah explained that the platform aligns with President Joseph Boakai’s ARREST Agenda and the Ministry’s education reform priorities, aiming to build a data-driven system where decisions are guided by real-time evidence, instead of outdated files or guesswork.

She called on education officers, school leaders, and Ministry staff to embrace the platform as a shared responsibility for Liberia’s educational future, emphasizing that technology alone cannot build a better future—people must wield it effectively.
