The Program Manager for Extended Program on Immunization (EPI) at the Ministry of Health, Yuah Nemah, said,” The vaccination program targets girls between the ages of nine and eighteen”.

Dr. Nemah noted that the vaccine is safe, effective, and it is a major step in preventing cervical cancer among women.

He called on media institutions to help spread the message using radio, social media, drama, and music to reach communities across the country.

Meanwhile, the EPI Program Manager also encouraged parents and schools to support the campaign for every eligible girl to receive the vaccine.
