Liberia’s Transport Ministry Launches Road Safety Signs Project

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Transport has launched road safety signs for major intersections across the country.

The road safety signs are aimed at creating awareness for drivers and pedestrians, thus minimizing accident cases across the country.

The Minister of Transport, Sirleaf Tyler, disclosed that the installation of the signs is expected to kick off in December this year.

Minister Tyler assured Liberians of a decentralized initiative.

Addressing A news conference on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in Monrovia, Minister Tyler attributed the launch of the road safety program to President Joseph Boakai’s agenda to ensure public safety.

The Minister of Transport added that mechanisms are being put in place to ensure routine maintenance of the project.
