Chief Justice Gbeisay Issues November Term of Court Legal Assignments for Circuit Courts Judges

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Chief Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay has released his legal assignments for the November Term of Court for Circuit Courts’ Judges.

Justice Gbeisay’s legal duty affected Criminal Court’s B, C, E, and D as well as the 5th,8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, and 15th Judicial Circuit Courts.

Judge Memeita Jabateh Sirleaf leaves Court ‘D’ for Court ‘B’, while Judge Wesseh A Wesseh goes the opposite.

Judge Golda Elliot surfaces at Criminal Court ‘E’ Annex, and Judge Nancy Sammy leaves the 10th Judicial Circuit in Lofa County for the 15th Judicial Circuit in River Gee County, while

Judge Paye Suah assumed jurisdiction at the 10th Judicial Circuit.

Judge George Smith goes to the 12th Judicial Circuit in Grand Kru County, while Judges Ousman Feikai, Blamo Dixon, Roosevelt Willie, and others were retained at their various Courts.

Chief Justice Gbeisay’s rotational assignment is consistent with Chapter 3, Section 3.9 of the judiciary law, which states, ” for every quarter session, the Chief Justice shall rotate Circuit Courts’ Judges.

Circuit Courts are expected to resume legal business on the second Monday of November, consistent with 3 Section 3.8 of the Judiciary Law of Liberia.
