MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti has outlined migration challenges, job creation, and the critical Mineral Sector, among others, as key areas that took center stage during her meetings in Washington, D.C., the United States of America.
Addressing a news conference on Monday, October 20, 2025, Minister Beysolow-Nyanti said, “The rate at which Liberians overstay in the U.S was also highlighted during my engagements”.
The Foreign Minister, however, emphasized that discussions on building stronger, beneficial, and bilateral relations between Liberia and the U.S. were successful.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Beysolow-Nyanti has recommitted the Ministry to continuing its work and relationships.
The Liberian diplomat noted that the Ministry is partnering with other officials of government to lift Liberia’s global standing, underscoring the President’s vision to reposition Liberia as a problem solver for the world.
She said, “The U.S. has shown interest in supporting Liberia’s efforts, with EU Countries also providing support”.
Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti further highlighted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ effort to address overstaying visas and other challenges affecting Liberia’s relationship with the United States.
