Edu. Ministry, Chicago State University to Sign Education Agreement

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education and Chicago State University (CSU) are expected to sign an education agreement on October 20 in Chicago, Illinois.

The agreement includes student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and study-abroad programs.

Liberian students will also get tuition discounts for CSU’s online courses in Public Health, Health Information, and Computer Science, with programs like Business and Education to be added later.

The goal is to make quality education more affordable and help Liberian students compete globally.

The Academic Consortium of Liberian Universities will lead the rollout. It includes the University of Liberia and Cuttington University, working under the Ministry’s guidance.

Liberia’s Deputy Ministers Nyekeh Forkpa and Dehpue Zuo will sign the deal. CSU will be represented by President Dr. Zaldwaynaka Scott and Provost Dr. Sonja Feist-Price.

This partnership shows a shared push for better learning, technology, and research. It aims to strengthen Liberian universities and build lasting academic bridges.
