MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Seventeen Liberian Nurses have departed the country to take part in a Specialized Training at Kenyatta National Hospital School of Nursing in Nairobi, Kenya.
The nurses will pursue advanced studies in critical areas of health, including Oncology, Trauma and Emergency, Critical Care, Neonatal, and Nephrology Nursing, respectively.
A Health Ministry release said the training program is sponsored by the Ministry of Health, through the World Bank-funded Institutional Foundations to Improve Services for Health (IFISH) Project and the Health Security Project (HeSP).
Upon completion of their studies, the release said the nurses are expected to return home and contribute to the enhancement of specialized healthcare services.
They will also further support the Ministry’s ongoing efforts in ensuring access to quality and resilient healthcare for all Liberians and residents.
