MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Paynesville Boulevard Lions Club has officially inducted twenty-two young professionals into the newly formed Paynesville Boulevard Omega LEOs Club (PBOLC), marking a major milestone in youth leadership and service in Liberia.
The induction ceremony took place at the Liberian Learning Center in Paynesville and brought together young leaders committed to volunteerism, community impact, and humanitarian service.
The Omega LEOs Club is affiliated with Lions Clubs International and targets youth between the ages of 18 and 30.
PBOLC’s leadership team includes Hanson G. Blayon as President, Moscilla E. Neufville as First Vice President, and T. Izeecta Martha Gbollie as Second Vice President.
Other officers include Betty Freeman as Treasurer, Crystal Martina Marvey as General Secretary, and Joseph Sirleaf as Media and Communication Officer, among others.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Governor Michel Boua of Lions District 403A2, which covers Liberia, Sierra Leone, the Ivory Coast, and Togo, as well as former District Governor Lion Clemenceau B. Urey, Paynesville Boulevard Lions Club President Lion Zelda M. Cooke, Public Works Minister Roland Layfette Giddings, and Monrovia City Mayor John-Charuk Siafa.
The newly elected PBOLC President, Hanson G. Blayon, inspired the audience with a vision of unity and change.
“As Omega LEOs, we are the change-makers, the innovators, the dreamers. We come from diverse backgrounds, yet we share a common vision: to uplift our communities and support those in need,” he stated.
During the ceremony, President Blayon also announced the club’s first major initiative—an outreach project in West Point focused on mental health and wellness, particularly targeting young girls through peer-led sessions and community engagement.
The Paynesville Boulevard Omega LEOs Club is the first LEO club to be chartered under the Paynesville Boulevard Lions Club, creating a platform for young professionals to engage directly in Lions Club activities and service projects throughout Liberia.
