The Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration, Dr. Ibrahim Nyei, described the signing as a significant milestone in the diplomatic, economic, cultural, and development cooperation between the two countries.

According to Dr. Nyei, the event is a manifestation of Liberia-Japan relations that continue to grow from strength to strength.

He expressed the hope to maintain the momentum as the two countries build solid bridges in their bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership on global issues.

The Deputy Minister also lauded the Liberian Government and the people of Japan for their continued support and partnership over the years.

Meanwhile, Japanese Ambassador to Liberia Hiroshi Yoshimoto has disclosed that this fiscal year’s KR Food Assistance Program is valued at 1.7 million US Dollars.
