MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in partnership with the Enhancing Climate Information System for Resilient Development Project, has concluded a four-day QuickBooks training to improve financial management, accountability, and efficiency across its project areas.
The event, held in Margibi County, brought together thirty-five participants from the EPA Finance, Administration, Human Resources, ICT, Audit, and the Project Units, as well as partner projects, including the Monrovia Metropolitan Climate Resilience Project and the Sinoe Project.
QuickBooks is a comprehensive accounting software developed by Intuit that helps small and medium-sized businesses manage their finances.
Speaking on behalf of the EPA Boss, the Project Liaison Officer of the EPA, Desmond Thompson, expressed excitement about the training, encouraging participants to share the knowledge acquired with their colleagues who were unable to form part of the event.
At the same time, CIS Project Manager, Nelson Jallah, said, “The CIS Project, funded by the Green Climate Fund, the African Development Bank, and the Government of Liberia, is committed to ensuring financial accountability in climate-related initiatives”.
