MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The leadership of the National Union of Hospitality Aviation Communication and Energy Workers (NUHACE) has welcomed the positive results of a recent Labour Ministry’s investigation.
The investigation addressed issues between the union representing the workers of the National Beverages Trust Services Company and the Company’s Management.
The NUHACE President, Baryou Wallace, said,” The Union views the findings, determination, and recommendations of the report as a victory for labour justice, and signals the dawn of a new day in Liberia’s dispensation.
He noted that for far too long, workers and their trade unions have endured the pains of constant deprivation of their rights to unionisation and collective bargaining, which are among the eight core International Labour Conventions ratified by Liberia.
In the release, Wallace extolled the Deputy Labour Minister for Planning and Manpower Development, Steve Kolubah, for professionally handling all the complaints and urged other officials of the ministry to emulate his good example.
Meanwhile, NUHACE is encouraging the Management of the National Beverages Trust Services Company to comply with the outcome of the Labour Ministry’s ruling.
