MONROVIA, LIBERIA-United States Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Joseph Zadrozny, has pledged America’s commitment to building stronger economic and security ties with regional partners, particularly in the areas of mineral, agriculture, energy, and tourism.
Mr. Zadrozny said the U.S Government values these exchanges for enhanced collaboration.
He made the statement recently when the United States Embassy near Monrovia held talks with Ambassadors and representatives from the continent to exchange views on regional economic integration and trade.
According to a release, the discussion focused on the role of ECOWAS and the Mano River Union in advancing cooperation and shared national priorities for the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.
During the discussion, the Ambassadors underscored Africa’s growing importance in international affairs, due to its youthful and expanding population.
Meanwhile, the U.S Embassy says it is partnering with the Liberia National Police (LNP) to deliver a training session on Detecting Fraudulent Documents.
The U.S Embassy also disclosed that the partnership will equip the LNP to detect impostors, enhancing the skills of twenty-six police instructors.
According to a release, the training will be overseen by the United States Embassy’s Criminal Investigations, while recruitment will be carried out by the Crime Services Department.
The release quotes the Liberia National Police as praising the United States Embassy for its continued partnership with the police force, particularly in capacity-building training.
The LNP believes the Embassy’s continued support demonstrates America’s leadership in advancing innovation, professionalism, and excellence in the security sector of Liberia.
