MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) Commissioner General, Dorbor Jallah, says the institution has collected 562.1 million US Dollars in taxes, surpassing its projected target of 552 million.
Commissioner Jallah attributed the increase to collective efforts being made in strengthening tax administration.
He said,” The LRA is set to introduce new technology to further enhance revenue collection in the country”.
Commissioner Jallah noted that the institution will also regulate a system to ensure that fair taxes are paid directly to the Liberian government’s accounts.
Addressing the MICAT Regular Press Briefing on Thursday, September 11, 2025, Commissioner Jallah explained that the initiative will extend to other digital payment services.
Meanwhile, the LRA Commissioner General has committed to launching a system that will keep Liberians informed about the government’s revenue mobilization efforts.
