MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government has publicised ongoing transformation at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), adjusting ceiling prices for products on the local market.
Recently, the LPRC reduced the price of Fuel Oil by Ten United States Cents and the price of gasoline by Seven United States cents.
According to Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah, the adjustment directly benefits importation, including fuel security, reduced dependency on private importers, and generates additional revenue for the government.
Minister Piah noted that the effort is aimed at generating a nationwide availability and price stability, thereby enhancing the government’s oversight.
Meanwhile, he stressed that the LPRC’s price regulation also introduces two new levies, affecting both the Health and Education Sectors of the country.
