MONROVIA, LIBERIA- Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (PBF), is continuing transformative initiatives to strengthen citizen-led accountability and inclusive governance across Liberia.
The program focuses on empowering communities to take an active role in local development.
It also seeks to bridge the gap between citizens and decision-makers by ensuring transparency and trust in governance processes.
According to NAYMOTE, the initiative will enhance community participation in monitoring government services, tracking development projects, and amplifying citizens’ voices in policy dialogues.
The project is under the theme “Empowering Citizens and Communities to Foster Social Accountability and Transparency in Governance and Public Service Delivery.”
Under the project, seventy-five Social Accountability Monitors have been trained and deployed across all 15 Counties across the Country to ensure that the essence of the program is achieved.
