U.S. Charge d’ Affaires Zardrosny Recommits to Collaboration with Liberia’s Nat’l Public Health Institute

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Charge d’Affaires Joseph Zardrosny has recommitted the US Government to continued collaboration with the national public health institute of Liberia in protecting the Health Sector of Liberia.

The US Charge d’Affaires re-emphasized the importance of the US-Liberia cooperation in global health security and reaffirmed the National Public Health Institute of Liberia’s (NPHIL) role as a critical institution in safeguarding public health in Liberia and the region.

Zardrosny made the statement when he paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of NPHIL, Dr. Dougbeh Nyan, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

The visit highlighted the strong ties between Liberia and the US in strengthening public health systems, advancing disease surveillance, and enhancing laboratory capacity, among others.

Meanwhile, the NPHIL Director General welcomed the visit of the US Envoy and highlighted the ongoing programs at the entity, including preparedness and response, emerging infectious diseases, and research development.
