MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti has called on global partners to turn dialogue into tangibles.
Minister Nyanti emphasized that while diplomacy opens doors, investment and trade must walk through them to secure dignity for the people.
The Dean of the Liberian Cabinet made the statement when she represented President Joseph Boakai at Liberia’s National Day at World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
Minister Nyanti underscored Liberia’s alignment with the Expo’s theme, noting that the Country’s pavilion reflects President Boakai’s ‘Rescue Mission’.
She outlined how creativity, innovation, investment, and gender equality are key to building a stronger future for Liberia.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Nyanti is urging Japanese investors to choose Liberia as a sustainable investment destination.
Minister Nyanti wants Japanese businesses to engage in agribusiness, energy, Information Communication Technology (ICT), and tourism.
She said,” When Japanese businesses invest in Liberia, they are not just tapping into resources, but also creating jobs, empowering communities, and shaping a future of shared prosperity”.
Responding, Japan’s Foreign Minister Fujii Hisayuki praised Liberia for its resilience, democratic progress, and contributions to peace.
Minister Hisayuki recalled Liberia’s historic role as Africa’s first republic and cited the Japan Freeway in Monrovia as a lasting symbol of cooperation.
The Japanese Foreign Minister expressed confidence that Expo 2025 would open new doors to strengthen the long-standing bond between the two countries.
