Corporation for Africa & Overseas Mobility Donates to Post and Telecom. Ministry

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Corporation for Africa & Overseas Mobility (CFAO) has donated two brand new Yamaha motorbikes to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication.

 CFAO Mobility Liberia Managing Director, Navin Chander, said,” The donation is part of our corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at enhancing the working ability of government institutions that provide vital services to the public”.

Director Chander noted that their support is to build a long-standing relationship with the ministry and to strengthen its operation across the country.

Meanwhile, Post and Telecommunication Minister Sekou Kromah lauded CFAO Mobility for such a gesture, describing it as timely.

Minister Kromah also noted that his ministry will work collaboratively with CFAO Mobility to improve Liberia’s digital systems.

At the same time, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has announced the suspension of the de minimis rule for the shipment of airmails to the United States of America, effective August 29, 2025.

A release says. The suspension for all shipments of airmails from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications will remain in force until further notice.

According to the release, Customs duties will have to be paid for every shipment, regardless of the value of the goods, and those duties will have to be paid to the US customs authorities by the transport Company.

The release noted that the suspension does not cover other countries across the world, as postal services are still being rendered for other countries across the world.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has urged the public to remain patient as they work to address the situation.
