MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has announced the successful completion of Liberia’s first digital village in Foya District, Lofa County.
The state-of-the-art village will provide green energy internet connectivity to over fifty homes, including schools, hospitals, clinics, churches, and mosques, among others.
The Digital Village project was made possible through the sponsorship of Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology solutions.
The village is expected to be launched soon, while the ministry is working to finalize the preparations.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Sekou Kromah said,” I am excited over the completion of the digital village and will continue engaging international partners to ensure that the Liberian Telecommunications Sector is improved”.
