Gov. of Liberia Has No Intent to Sideline Liberian Media…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA- The Liberian Government says it has no intent to sideline the Liberian media from checkmating the functions of public officials.

Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, said,” The Government remains steadfast in fostering press freedom at all events”.

The Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs was speaking on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the MICAT Regular Press Briefing in Monrovia.

Minister Sando urged media practitioners and managers to be responsible in their reportage, to protect the country’s growing democracy.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Information Minister says the dismissal of some employees of the Monrovia City Corporation was done in line with the Civil Agency law.
