MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The former Liberia Telecommunication Authority (LTA) Chairperson, Abdullai Kamara, has been cleared of wrongdoing in the case involving Tamma Corporation and the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC).
In a ruling on Friday, August 1, 2025, Criminal Court “C” stated that Kamara should not have been held or named as the Corporate Officer to represent Tamma Corporation in the over three million US Dollar economic sabotage case.
According to the ruling, a copy of which is in the possession of this station, quotes Judge Barcon as saying Tamma Corporation, as a distinct entity, has a Chief Executive Officer and other corporate officers to assert the right of the corporation.
Judge Barcon, therefore, ordered that the indictment of Abdullai Kamara is improper, unlawful, and untenable, contrary to the provisions of the Association law cited above and the opinion of the Supreme Court of Liberia.
Meanwhile, the Judge said,” It is the candid opinion of the Court that the Motion to Drop is hereby ordered granted, upheld, sustained, and Kamara is ordered dropped from the case and the resistance thereto filed by the state is denied and dismissed”.
On July 17, 2025, the former LTA Commissioner filed a motion to be dropped wrongfully named in the indictment as CEO for Tamma Corporation.
Abdullai Kamara further argued that he was wrongfully labeled as the CEO of Tamma Corporation when he had relinquished the position over a year ago.
