MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has re-emphasized the significance of building upon the strong foundation of the Liberia-Morocco partnership to address regional and global challenges.
The Government described such a partnership as a model for South-South cooperation in addressing issues like climate change, food insecurity, peace building, and regional integration.
Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration, Dr. Ibrahim Nyei, said,” There are still untapped opportunities for bilateral cooperation, especially in climate resilience, data innovation, youth empowerment, and trade”.
Minister Nyei also reaffirmed Liberia’s support for the African Atlantic States process, emphasizing its potential for regional cooperation and alignment with continental projects like the African Continental Free Trade Union.
The Deputy Foreign Minister made the statement recently in Monrovia at an occasion marking the 26th Anniversary of the Throne Day of King Mohammed the Six of the Kingdom of Morocco.
