MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has secured true bills in three major indictments as part of its ongoing mandate to investigate, prosecute, and deter acts of corruption and financial misconduct in public service.
Institutions indicted include the National Oil Company of Liberia, Liberia Telecommunications Authority, and Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (LRRRC).
They face multiple charges, including economic sabotage, tampering with public records, criminal attempt, solicitation, facilitation, and conspiracy, among others.
All three defendants appeared before Criminal Court ‘C’ on Tuesday, July 28, 2025, and presented Judge-approved criminal appearance bonds.
They were formally served with writs of arrest and indictments, placing them under the jurisdiction of the Court.
These motions have been heard, with final rulings pending.
Meanwhile, the LACC says it is assessing the validity and adequacy of the bond submitted and reserves the right to challenge it within the legal timeframe if found defective.
The LACC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for corruption.
The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission also noted that it will continue to keep the public informed on developments as proceedings unfold.
