MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has ranked the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) as the first government entity to comply with the Commission’s asset declaration fully.
Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Monrovia, LACC Chairperson, Cllr. Alexandra Zoe praised the LRA for demonstrating a commitment to fostering good governance.
According to Cllr. Zoe, the move taken by the LRA to ensure its employees declare their assets, underscores the entity’s commitment to setting up the standard of integrity.
The LACC Head expressed gratitude to the LRA Commissioner General, Dorbor Jallah, for the move to ensure that Section 10 of the National Code of Conduct, which promotes integrity, is implemented.
Section 10 of the Code of Conduct mandates that public officials and employees of the government entities declare their income, assets, and liabilities as part of efforts to promote transparency and accountability.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of the LRA is calling on the integrity institutions in Liberia to emulate the LRA.
He thanked employees of the entity for declaring their assets to foster transparency and accountability, adding that their action demonstrates a continuous commitment to transparency.
Commissioner Dorbor Jallah also disclosed plans to work along with relevant anti-graft institutions to conduct what he calls ‘Lifestyle’ audit of the LRA employees shortly to ensure that no one pockets government monies.
