Two Persons Arrested over Alleged Mineral Theft in Margibi County

MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Two persons have been arrested by the Margibi County Police Detachment over alleged mineral theft from a hunter.

The hunter, Arthur Kollie, found a stone believed to be diamond while on a hunting expedition and reported it to the elders of Galamou Town to determine its legitimacy.

ELBC Correspondent said the two persons, Joseph Kollie and James Sumo made away with the stone on their way to Monrovia to sell.

Arthur Kollie then filed a complaint with the Kakata Police Detachment, prompting the launch of a manhunt and arrest of the suspects.

Meanwhile, the stone has been retrieved while the suspects have been remanded in police custody to assist in the investigation.
