Liberia’s Justice Ministry Confirms Escape of Six Inmates…

GRAND KRU COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Justice Ministry has confirmed the escape of six inmates from the Barclayville Detention Center in Grand Kru County.

The Ministry named Shadrach Williams, William Wallace, Johnny Brown, Koffa Sieh, and Jacob Weah, as some of the inmates who reportedly escaped the cell.

According to a Justice Ministry release issued recently, the inmates were charged with criminal conspiracy, theft of property, and burglary, among others.

The ministry urged the public to remain calm as an internal investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the breach and prevent its recurrence.

Meanwhile, the Justice Ministry disclosed that one of the inmates who reportedly escaped the Barclayville Detention Center has been rearrested following a vigorous search.
