MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairman of the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Taskforce (AREPT), Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin has confirmed over forty new suspected cases.
According to Cllr. Martin, the suspected cases range from stolen government assets to diversion of public funds for personal use.
In an interview on the ELBC Super Morning Show on Monday, June 30, 2025, the AREPT Chairman stated that sufficient evidence is being gathered before inviting the suspects.
He also said, “The Taskforce currently has twenty-six active cases from which indictments are drawn for prosecution.”
He disclosed plans to carry out robust public awareness about the work of the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Taskforce to get the necessary public cooperation.
