Nimba County Senatorial Race Candidates in Upcoming By-Election Sign Agreement…

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Ahead of the April 22 Senatorial By-election in Nimba County, all candidates have signed an agreement, recognizing the importance of a free, fair, and peaceful election, and committing to upholding democratic principles.

At the signing ceremony on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Jackie’s Guest House in Ganta City, Nimba County, they pledged to refrain from any form of violence, intimidation, or harassment during the electoral process, as enshrined in the declaration.

The document further says that if any disagreement arises, candidates should make use of the dispute resolution mechanisms governing Liberia’s electoral processes.

The process was witnessed by stakeholders, Civil Society organizations, and the NEC Chairman of the Election Steering Committee in Nimba County, Commissioner Barsee Kpangba, among others.
