Liberia’s Civil Service Agency Launches Five-Year Strategic Work Plan

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Civil Service Agency (CSA) of Liberia has validated, adopted, and launched its five-year strategic work plan in Monrovia.

Speaking on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, during the launch in Congo Town, outside Monrovia, CSA Director General Josiah Joekai said:” The work plan will guide and improve productivity, accountability, value for money, and capacity building.”

According to Dr. Joekai, the plan is strictly in line with the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development human resource development goals, which aim to improve the Country and ensure proper service delivery.

At the same time, the CSA says it has begun personnel verification and payroll audit across the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS).

According to the CSA Boss, Josiah Joekai, the move follows a recent protest by MCSS Students, who called for the payment and placement of volunteer teachers on the Government of Liberia’s payroll.

Dr. Joekai said:” At the end of the exercise, the CSA will recommend the reclassification of employees, which will appropriately place everyone in their respective areas of work.”
