Gov. of Liberia Launches Anti-Mob Violence Campaign

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government, through the Justice Ministry, has officially launched its Anti-Mob Violence Campaign.

The Campaign was launched on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), World Bank, the Motorcyclist Union of Liberia, and the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, among others.

Speaking at the ceremony in Monrovia, Justice Minister Cllr. Oswald Tweh said:” The move is triggered by the increasing wave of mob violence, including the burning of vehicles and critical infrastructures in the Country.”

Minister Tweh urged Liberians, especially the youthful population, to unite and denounce all forms of violence for the forward march of the country.

Meanwhile, Police Inspector General Col. Gregory Coleman wants the Ministry of Justice and partners to be intentional in combating mob violence in Liberia.
