Environmental Protection Agency Announces Progress of Coastal Defense Projects across Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Executive Director, Dr. Emmanuel Yarkpawolo, has announced that the Coastal Defense Projects are currently in progress across various sites in Liberia.

According to Dr. Yarkpawolo, the EPA now has yellow machines operating in Sinoe County, where the blasting of rocks and quarries is underway, stressing that the City of Greenville will be protected when completed.

He indicated that studies of the Monrovia Coastal Defense project, which aims to build coastal defense to prevent West Point from washing away, have been completed.

However, Dr. Yarkpawolo has reaffirmed the EPA’s commitment to upholding environmental integrity and protecting all Liberians’ rights to a clean, healthy, and ecologically balanced environment.
