Pres. Boakai Praises Nat’l Port Authority’s Leadership…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has commended the Leadership of the National Port Authority (NPA) for their proactive approach to port operations in Liberia.

President Boakai reaffirmed the government’s support for initiatives that drive infrastructural development, improve governance, and promote sustainable economic growth.

At an Executive Mansion meeting with President Boakai on Monday, March 25,2025, the NPA presented a 14-month performance report that outlined key strategic initiatives to modernize Liberia’s port infrastructure.

President Joseph Boakai then emphasized the important role played by the NPA in the viability of the economy.

Meanwhile, the NPA Managing Director, Sekou Dukuly, said the entity is currently focusing on the infrastructure development of ports throughout the country.

Director Dukuly reiterated the NPA’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.

The NPA Boss explained that the proposed reforms will strengthen Liberia’s Maritime Sector, and contribute to the government’s broader economic agenda.

The Port Director said:” The strategic rollout plan is intended to rehabilitate and modernize port facilities in Liberia to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery for port users.”

The National Port Authority’s thorough assessment of existing contracts and concessions in intended to ensure transparency and competitiveness, among others.
